Shelton rallies past Tiafoe to reach US Open final

Ben Shelton came from a set down to beat fellow American Frances Tiafoe 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 7-5 in the US Open semifinals. After dropping the opener, Shelton leaned on a serve that produced 20 aces against just three double faults, landing 75.4 percent of his first deliveries and winning 76.7 percent of those points. Tiafoe was efficient when he found the target, taking 78.3 percent behind his first serve, but he made only 57 percent of them and won just 38.5 percent on his second, a gap Shelton kept attacking. The all-American semifinal sent Shelton into his first US Open final.
