Zverev serves past Tabilo in three sets at the US Open

Alexander Zverev moved into the second week of the US Open with a 6-2, 7-6, 6-2 win over Alejandro Tabilo in the Round of 32, dropping serve rarely and only being seriously tested in a second-set tie-break. The German's platform was his first delivery: 72.4 percent of them landed, and he won 74.6 percent of those points, adding ten aces against just two double faults. Tabilo, by contrast, found only 59.6 percent of first serves and won 40 percent behind his second, a gap that left him exposed all afternoon. For Zverev, it was a clean, low-risk passage through the round.
