Gauff overcomes shaky serve to beat Bucsa in US Open last 32
Coco Gauff moved into the next round at the US Open with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Cristina Bucsa, controlling both sets without ever letting the Spaniard level the match. The American's serve was far from tidy — just 49.1% of first serves landed and six double faults crept in — but the shots that did go in were punishing, with 74.1% of first-serve points won and 57.1% behind the second. Bucsa found the box more often at 63.4%, yet won only 55.6% of those points and 42.3% on her second. That efficiency gap decided a straightforward afternoon for Gauff.
