Cerundolo rallies from two sets down to oust Fritz in New York
Francisco Cerundolo turned around a match that looked lost, dropping the opening two sets 3-6, 4-6 before taking the last three 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to knock Taylor Fritz out of the US Open in the Round of 32. The Argentine's first delivery was the difference: he landed 60.7% of first serves and won 81.2% of those points, with 10 aces, while Fritz found only 53.2% of his firsts and won 66.7% behind them. Cerundolo's nine double faults and 32.7% behind the second serve kept the American close, but Fritz never found a way past him again after the second set.
