Tsitsipas recovers from a set down to beat Lehecka in New York
Stefanos Tsitsipas dropped the opening set 2-6 but reorganised completely to beat Jiri Lehecka 2-6 6-1 7-6 6-1 in the US Open round of 32. The serve was the difference once the Greek settled: 12 aces to Lehecka's three, and a second delivery that produced 58.7 percent of points won against the Czech's 40.5, an imbalance that told in the lopsided second and fourth sets. Neither man was clean, with five double faults for Tsitsipas and six for Lehecka, and the third set needed a tie-break. For Tsitsipas, it was a hard-court recovery built on holding firm behind serve.
