Cobolli recovers from a set down to beat Schoolkate in four
Flavio Cobolli dropped the opening set 3-6 but recovered to beat Tristan Schoolkate 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 in the US Open round of 64. The difference lay behind the first serve: both men landed a similar share of first deliveries, 54.7 percent for the Italian against 54.1 for the Australian, and both won just over 81 percent of those points, but Cobolli took 62.5 percent of his second-serve points to Schoolkate's 41.2. Cobolli also struck nine aces to four, with four double faults each. The win carried the Italian into the third round in New York.
