Tabilo rallies past Popyrin in four sets at the US Open

Alejandro Tabilo recovered from a one-set deficit to beat Alexei Popyrin 2-6 7-6 7-6 6-2 in the US Open round of 64, turning the match on two tiebreaks before pulling clear in the fourth. The Chilean's serve was the difference once he settled: he landed only 57.0 percent of first deliveries but won 83.1 percent of those points, and his 61.2 percent behind the second serve outstripped Popyrin's 55.1. The Australian struck 25 aces to Tabilo's 17, yet won just 69.8 percent of his first-serve points and coughed up six double faults. Tabilo moves into the third round in New York.
