Van de Zandschulp beats De Minaur in straight sets at US Open
Botic van de Zandschulp produced a commanding straight-sets win over Alex de Minaur, 6-4 7-5 6-2, in the US Open third round. The Dutchman's serve set the tone: nine aces and 76.7% of points won behind his first delivery, even though only 57.7% of them landed. De Minaur never found the same platform, getting just 51.0% of first serves in, winning 67.3% of those points and coughing up seven double faults to his opponent's four. Van de Zandschulp also held firm on second serve, taking exactly half those points, and the pressure told as the match wore on.
