Keys Edges Bondar in Three Sets at US Open Round of 64
Madison Keys came from a set down to outlast Anna Bondar 5-7 6-4 7-6 in the US Open Round of 64, surviving a final set that went all the way to a tiebreak. The American's serve gave her the platform: she landed 64.6% of first deliveries and won 65.8% of those points, well clear of Bondar, who found the court with just 52.7% of her first serves and won 60.3% behind them. Both women were untidy, striking eight double faults apiece, and both won barely half their second-serve points. Keys hit five aces to Bondar's two and moved into the next round.
