Swiatek routs Podoroska 6-3 6-2 in US Open third round
Iga Swiatek needed just two efficient sets to see off Nadia Podoroska 6-3, 6-2 in the US Open Round of 64, never letting the Argentine settle. The Pole's serve was the platform: she landed 78.8 percent of her first deliveries and won 78.0 percent of those points, and even her second ball held firm at 72.7 percent. Podoroska, by contrast, found only 59.2 percent of first serves and won 55.0 percent behind the second, offering constant pressure points. With two aces against two double faults apiece, the difference lay in consistency, and Swiatek moved through without dropping a set.
