Rakhimova routs Selekhmeteva 6-3 6-0 in US Open second round
Kamilla Rakhimova needed only two lopsided sets to move past Oksana Selekhmeteva 6-3 6-0 in the US Open round of 64, closing with a bagel that underlined how one-sided the contest became. The Uzbek was flawless behind her delivery, landing 61.9 percent of first serves, winning 76.9 percent of those points and an unusually high 81.2 percent behind her second, with a single ace and no double faults. Selekhmeteva, by contrast, won just 50 percent of her first-serve points and 46.7 percent on her second, offering little resistance on her own games. It was a clinical, low-risk performance from Rakhimova on the New York hard courts.
