Michael Zheng downs Marozsan in straight sets at US Open

Michael Zheng produced a commanding first-round performance at the US Open, beating Fabian Marozsan 6-4 6-4 6-2 without dropping a set. The American landed only 48.2 percent of his first serves, but he was close to untouchable when he did, winning 95.0 percent of those points and firing nine aces to Marozsan's three. The Hungarian found the court more often, at 57.5 percent, yet took just 62.0 percent of his first-serve points, and with the two men almost level behind the second ball, 51.2 to 51.4, that gap decided it. A statement win for Zheng in the main draw.
