Sabalenka routs Iatcenko 6-1 6-1 to reach US Open third round
Aryna Sabalenka needed little more than an hour's worth of dominance to sweep past Polina Iatcenko 6-1, 6-1 in the US Open second round, dropping just two games along the way. The Belarusian's serve was the foundation: 75.7% of her first deliveries landed, she won 75.0% of those points and 55.6% behind her second, adding three aces against two double faults. Iatcenko, by contrast, found only 53.3% of her first serves and won 33.3% of points behind both her first and second balls, with four double faults compounding the damage. For Sabalenka, it was a statement of intent on a surface that suits her.
