Navone rallies past Berrettini in four sets at the US Open

Mariano Navone lost the opening set but turned the US Open second round around, beating Matteo Berrettini 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 to reach the third round. The Argentine's serve grew steadier as the match went on: he landed 69.7% of his first deliveries and won 70.7% of those points, and crucially took 60% behind his second. Berrettini struck 15 aces to Navone's five, but he put only 56.7% of first serves in play, coughed up six double faults and won just 47.3% of second-serve points. That gap decided a match settled in a fourth-set tie-break.
