Muchova routs Boulter 6-1 6-0 in US Open third round
Karolina Muchova needed barely an hour's worth of resistance to sweep past Katie Boulter 6-1, 6-0 in the US Open round of 64, dropping just one game across the two sets. The serve numbers explained the gulf: Boulter won only 34.8% of her first-serve points and 27.8% behind her second, and coughed up eight double faults without landing a single ace. Muchova, by contrast, made just 54.1% of first serves but won 75% of those points and 52.9% behind the second. It was a ruthless, low-effort passage into the next round for the Czech.
