Bu Yunchaokete routs Rafael Jodar in US Open first round
Bu Yunchaokete needed barely more than an hour's worth of resistance to sweep past Rafael Jodar 6-2 6-1 6-1 in the US Open first round. The Chinese won 86.8% of his first-serve points and a robust 60.9% behind his second, so even a modest 62.3% first-serve rate never left him exposed. Jodar, by contrast, landed only 51.9% of first serves and won 31.6% of second-serve points, an invitation the winner accepted repeatedly. Both men struck two aces and three double faults, but the return exchanges were entirely one-sided. For Bu, it was a clinical entry into the main draw in New York.
