Rinderknech fires 22 aces past Munar in US Open third round

Arthur Rinderknech came through in straight sets against Jaume Munar at the US Open, taking a tight opening set on a tiebreak before closing out 7-6, 6-2, 7-5 in the Round of 64. The Frenchman's serve was the difference: 22 aces to Munar's three, and 86.4 percent of points won behind his first delivery against the Spaniard's 66.1. Rinderknech landed only 53.7 percent of first serves and won just 36.8 percent behind his second, but he was never let down when the first one found the box. Six double faults did not cost him, and he moves through with his biggest weapon firing.
