Navone outlasts Djokovic in five sets at US Open first round

Mariano Navone came from a set down to beat Novak Djokovic 7-6 5-7 4-6 6-2 6-1 in the US Open first round, taking the last two sets for the loss of three games. After edging the opening tiebreak, the Argentine lost his way in the middle of the match, but his serve steadied when it mattered: he landed 62.8 percent of first serves and won 71.4 percent behind them. Djokovic, at 54.8 percent first serves in and just 50 percent won behind the second, with 10 double faults, faded late. It is the biggest win of Navone's career.
