Boulter recovers to beat Lee in three sets at US Open

Katie Boulter needed three sets to move past Carol Young Suh Lee in the US Open first round, taking it 6-4 3-6 6-0 after being pegged back in the second. Boulter was the steadier server across the match, landing 66.7% of her first deliveries and winning 67.7% of those points, while Lee managed only 58.9% first serves in and 43.2% of her second-serve points. Lee's eight aces, against none for Boulter, kept her in the contest until the final set, where the Briton conceded nothing. Seven double faults aside, Boulter finished the job emphatically and is through to the second round.
