Tommy Paul recovers from set down to beat Coleman Wong

Tommy Paul dropped the opening set in a tie-break before taking control of his US Open first-round meeting with Coleman Wong, closing it out 6-7 6-1 6-3 6-3. The American's serve was the difference once the match settled: he won 76.4 percent of his first-serve points and an unusually high 74.4 percent behind the second, with just one double fault all night. Wong struck 15 aces to Paul's eight, but landed only 50.4 percent of first serves and won 50.8 percent behind the second, while six double faults added to the pressure. Paul is through to the second round.
