Havlickova downs Hibino 6-0 6-4 to reach US Open main draw
Lucie Havlickova completed her US Open qualifying campaign in style, sweeping past Nao Hibino 6-0 6-4 in the final round. The Czech landed only 53.8 percent of her first serves but was ruthless when she did, winning 75 percent of those points and a healthy 62.5 percent behind her second delivery, with three aces against three double faults. Hibino found the court far more often, at 67.9 percent, yet won just half her first-serve points and only 33.3 percent on the second, adding four double faults. The reward for Havlickova was a place in the main draw.
