Harris fights back past Rocha in US Open qualifying decider
Lloyd Harris came from a set down to beat Henrique Rocha 2-6 6-2 7-6 in the US Open qualifying semifinals, turning a poor start into a hard-won tiebreak finish. The South African leaned on his first delivery, landing 63.5 percent of them and winning 68.2 percent of those points, with five aces to Rocha's three. His weak spot was the second ball, where he took only 44.7 percent against the Portuguese's far sturdier 61.3, and four double faults kept the match tense to the last. The reward was a place in the final qualifying round.
