The margin lived on serve: McDonald landed 61% of first deliveries and won 83.3% of those points, against 74.3% for the Brazilian, and a single break in each set was all the American needed. Behind the second ball the gap widened too, McDonald taking 47.8% of those points to Seyboth Wild's 37.5%.
