Fabian Marozsan controlled matters from the outset in the Winston-Salem round of 32, easing past Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 6-4 without ever letting the Serb settle. The Hungarian's serve was the difference: he landed 68.4% of first deliveries and won 76.9% of those points, striking eight aces to Kecmanovic's one.
