Schoolkate downs Secord in straight sets in US Open qualifying

Tristan Schoolkate needed only two sets to move through the US Open qualifying quarterfinals, beating Jack Secord 6-3 6-2. The Australian was the steadier server throughout, landing 60.6% of his first deliveries and winning 72.1% of those points, while Secord found the box just 49.1% of the time and had to lean on a second serve that produced only 32.1% of points won. Both men struck four aces, but Secord's shakier platform left him under constant pressure. Five double faults aside, Schoolkate controlled the match and kept his run through qualifying alive.
