Bucsa beats Bondar 6-4 6-3 in Monterrey first round
Cristina Bucsa needed only two sets to move past Anna Bondar 6-4 6-3 in the Monterrey round of 32, controlling the match from behind her serve. The Spaniard landed just 54% of her first deliveries but did almost everything with them, winning 81.5% of those points and a hefty 65.2% behind her second, while adding five aces to three double faults. Bondar never found the same footing, putting only 45.5% of first serves in play and taking 66.7% of them, with 55.6% won on second and four double faults. It was a clean, efficient start to Bucsa's week.
