Kym overpowers Added 6-0 6-3 in US Open qualifying quarterfinals
Jerome Kym needed little more than an hour's worth of authority to sweep past Dan Added 6-0 6-3 in the US Open qualifying quarterfinals, taking the opening set without conceding a game. The Swiss served the match away: 12 aces, 67.4% of first serves in and 89.7% of those points won, with only three double faults to blemish the effort. Added never found the same footing, landing just 44.7% of first serves and winning only 28.6% of his second-serve points, a shortfall the Frenchman could not hide on hard court. Kym moved a win from the main draw.
