Siskova rallies past Noha Akugue in US Open qualifying
Anna Siskova lost the opening set 1-6 but turned the match around, beating Noma Noha Akugue 1-6, 6-4, 7-5 to reach the final round of US Open qualifying. The Czech built her comeback on reliability rather than firepower: she landed 80.7% of her first serves, won 64.8% of those points and hit just one double fault all match. Noha Akugue was more dangerous when she found the box, taking 72.3% of her first-serve points, but she made only 52.2% of them and coughed up six double faults. That gap in consistency decided a tight decider.
