Buse edges Walton in three sets in Winston-Salem opener
Ignacio Buse came through a three-set battle to beat Adam Walton 6-2 5-7 6-3 in the Round of 32 in Winston-Salem. The Peruvian took control early, and even after Walton hit back to claim the second set 7-5, Buse steadied himself to close out the decider. The difference lay in the second-serve exchanges: Buse won 64.5% of his second-serve points and hit six aces without a single double fault, while Walton managed just 37.8% behind his second delivery and coughed up three doubles. It was a composed, error-free serving display that carried Buse into the next round.
