Glinka Downs Martinez 6-3 6-2 in US Open Qualifying
Daniil Glinka needed only two sets to see off Pedro Martinez 6-3 6-2 in the US Open qualifying quarterfinals, a straight-sets win built almost entirely on his delivery. The Estonian landed 75.9% of his first serves and won 72.7% of those points, firing 11 aces against just two double faults to make his service games a formality. Martinez, by contrast, found only 62.7% of first serves and won 36.8% behind his second, a leak that left him under constant pressure. With that command on hard court, Glinka moved a step closer to the main draw.
