Rocha Beats Mmoh 7-5 6-4 to Reach US Open Qualifying Semis
Henrique Rocha came through a tight, one-way straight-setter at the US Open qualifying quarterfinals, edging Michael Mmoh 7-5, 6-4 without ever losing his grip on serve. The Portuguese was flawless behind it: no double faults at all, 67.9% of first serves landed, and a remarkable 75.0% of first-serve points and 70.6% of second-serve points won. Mmoh, by contrast, was undone by his own delivery, landing only 51.4% of first serves, coughing up nine double faults and winning just 45.7% behind the second. Rocha's reward was a place in the qualifying semifinals.
