Dimitrov routs Giustino 6-0 6-3 in US Open qualifying

Grigor Dimitrov needed little more than an hour's worth of clean tennis to sweep past Lorenzo Giustino 6-0 6-3 in the qualifying quarterfinals at the US Open, opening with a bagel set and never letting the Italian back into the match. The Bulgarian's serve was close to untouchable: five aces, a single double fault, and 90.5% of his first-serve points won, with a remarkable 78.6% behind the second ball. Giustino, by contrast, landed just 48.9% of first serves and won only 34.8% of his second-serve points, a gap that made his four double faults costly. It was a commanding statement in Dimitrov's bid to reach the main draw.
