Ann Li needed barely more than an hour's worth of resistance to sweep past Camila Osorio 6-1, 6-2 in the Monterrey Round of 32, and the serve numbers explain the gap. The American landed 61.1% of her first deliveries and won 75.8% of those points, striking five aces to Osorio's one. The Colombian, by contrast, put only 54.2% of first serves in play, won 57.7% behind them and just 18.2% of her second-serve points, with nine double faults undermining her hold games. It was a clean, low-effort start to Li's tournament.
