Neumayer Downs McCabe 6-1 6-4 in US Open Qualifying
Lukas Neumayer needed only two efficient sets to see off James McCabe 6-1 6-4 in the US Open qualifying quarterfinals, running away with the opener before closing out a tighter second. The Austrian's serve was close to untouchable: he landed 80.5% of his first deliveries and won 90.9% of those points, adding four aces against a single double fault, and even his second ball held up at 75%. McCabe, by contrast, found just 56.4% of first serves and won only 45.8% behind the second, leaving him under constant pressure. The win moved Neumayer within one round of the main draw.
