Dougaz downs Gomez 6-4 6-2 in US Open qualifying quarterfinals
Aziz Dougaz controlled his US Open qualifying quarterfinal from the baseline of his own serve, beating Federico Agustin Gomez 6-4 6-2 in straight sets. The Tunisian struck eight aces to four and kept his errors down with just two double faults, landing 61.5 percent of first serves and winning 84.4 percent of those points, plus a solid 60 percent behind the second ball.
