Secord recovers from a set down to beat Baris in US Open semifinal

Jack Secord turned his US Open semifinal around after dropping the opening set 3-6, reeling off the second 6-2 against Ozan Baris. The difference lay in serve reliability: Secord landed 71.7% of his first serves and won 67.4% of those points, backing it with five aces to Baris's one and only two double faults. Baris was excellent when he found the box, winning 75.9% of first-serve points and 62.5% behind the second, but a first-serve rate of just 54.7% and three double faults left him exposed. The comeback carried Secord into the final.
