Rakhimova edges Jeanjean in three sets to reach Monterrey final round
Kamilla Rakhimova came through a three-set battle with Leolia Jeanjean, 6-4 4-6 6-2, in the qualifying semifinals in Monterrey. The Uzbek edged the serving duel in the small margins that decided a tight contest: 64.3% of first serves in against 63.2%, 63.0% of those points won against 60.0%, and a clear advantage behind the second delivery, 53.3% to 46.9%. Jeanjean matched her for aces, six to five, but paid for eight double faults against Rakhimova's three. The decisive break of rhythm came in the third set, where Rakhimova pulled clear to complete the win.
