Suresh rallies past Pascual Ferra to reach Winston-Salem qualifying final
Dhakshineswar Suresh recovered from a set down to beat Roger Pascual Ferra 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the qualifying semifinals at Winston-Salem. The Indian's serve carried the comeback: 12 aces to his opponent's four, just two double faults, and an unusually solid second delivery, with 68.6 percent of points won behind both his first and second serves. Pascual Ferra found the court more often, landing 68.9 percent of first serves, but he won only 51.4 percent behind his second, and that gap decided the closing sets. Suresh moved into the final qualifying round on hard courts.
