Bejlek stuns Sabalenka in straight sets in Cincinnati
Sara Bejlek produced the upset of the round of 16 in Cincinnati, edging Aryna Sabalenka 7-6, 6-4 without ever losing control of her own serve. The Czech was the cleaner server all afternoon: three aces, no double faults, 66.7 percent of first serves landed and 67.4 percent of those points won. Sabalenka, by contrast, found only half her first serves in play, hit no aces and coughed up four double faults, which left her defending far more often than she wanted. Beating the Belarusian in straight sets stands as the most significant win of Bejlek's career to date.
