Rybakina beats Shnaider in straight sets in Cincinnati

Elena Rybakina moved into the Cincinnati quarterfinals with a 6-4 6-4 win over Diana Shnaider in the Round of 16, controlling both sets without ever needing a third. The Kazakh's first delivery did the damage: 64.5% of her first serves landed and she won 81.6% of those points, backed by eight aces to Shnaider's one. Her second serve was a different story, yielding just 29.6% of points alongside four double faults, but Shnaider could not press the advantage often enough. Shnaider won 69.4% behind her own first serve and 57.1% behind her second, solid numbers that still left her a step short.
