Kostyuk fights back to beat Andreeva in Cincinnati last 16
Marta Kostyuk lost the opening set 4-6 and then took control, sweeping through 6-0, 6-2 to reach the quarter-finals at the WTA 1000 in Cincinnati. The turnaround came off her serve: seven aces against one for Mirra Andreeva, 72.1% of first-serve points won and a robust 60.7% behind the second ball, which kept her out of trouble once the momentum shifted. Andreeva landed 63.6% of first serves but won only 54.8% of those points and just half behind the second, with five double faults adding to the strain. For Kostyuk, it was a statement recovery at a premier hard-court event.
