Cobolli fights back past Jodar in three sets in Cincinnati
Flavio Cobolli recovered from a set down to beat Rafael Jodar 4-6 7-6 6-3 in the Cincinnati Round of 16. The Spaniard set the early tone with the cleaner delivery, landing 65.7% of his first serves and winning 68.7% of those points, while Cobolli found the court with only 57.4% of his firsts. The difference came behind the second ball: Cobolli won 55.1% of his second-serve points against 45.7% for Jodar, and that margin told once the second set reached a tiebreak. Eight aces to seven and three double faults apiece completed a fine line, and the Italian moved into the quarter-finals at a Masters 1000.
