Sabalenka routs Wang 6-1 6-3 in Cincinnati second round
Aryna Sabalenka needed little more than an hour's worth of clean hitting to sweep past Qiang Wang 6-1 6-3 in the Cincinnati round of 32, taking control from the opening games and never surrendering it. The serve was the difference: Sabalenka landed only 60.5 percent of her first deliveries but won 78.3 percent of those points, and her second ball proved almost untouchable, yielding 93.3 percent of its points alongside five aces and a single double fault. Wang put more first serves in play, 71.1 percent, yet won just 23.1 percent behind her second, and 65.6 percent behind her first was not enough. The Belarusian moved through with her form intact.
