Auger-Aliassime beats Cerundolo 7-5 6-1 in Cincinnati
Felix Auger-Aliassime needed one tight set to settle matters, edging the opener 7-5 before running away with a 6-1 second set against Juan Manuel Cerundolo in the Cincinnati round of 32. The Canadian's first delivery was close to untouchable: he landed only 57.4 percent of them but won 90.3 percent of those points, and struck six aces despite five double faults. Cerundolo, whose first serve went in at a comparable 58.2 percent, won just 65.6 percent behind it, and with both men taking 56.5 percent of their second-serve points he had no cushion. It was a clean, efficient passage into the next round for Auger-Aliassime.
