Coco Gauff came through an all-American Round of 32 in Cincinnati, racing away with the opening set 6-1 before surviving a far tighter second that went to a tie-break, 7-6. The serve numbers explained the gap: Gauff won 71.4% of her first-serve points and a healthy 56.7% behind her second, while Li managed only 59.5% and 42.9% respectively, leaving her exposed whenever the first delivery missed.
