Tommy Paul recovers to beat Vallejo in three in Cincinnati
Tommy Paul dropped the opening set 3-6 before turning the Cincinnati Round of 32 around, taking the next two 6-3, 6-4 against Adolfo Daniel Vallejo. The American's first delivery was the difference: he landed 62.2% of first serves and won 72.5% of those points, against 67.3% for the Paraguayan, and both men struck seven aces. Vallejo was the steadier man behind his second ball, winning 51.4% of those points to Paul's 41.9%, but four double faults compared with Paul's three chipped away at his margin. For Paul, it was a comeback that kept his Masters 1000 run alive.
