Jodar routs Tabilo 6-2 6-1 in Cincinnati second round
Rafael Jodar needed barely an hour's worth of resistance from Alejandro Tabilo, running out a 6-2, 6-1 winner in the Cincinnati round of 32. The Spaniard's serve was the foundation: 72.1% of his first deliveries found the box, and he won 80.6% of those points, backing it up with 10 aces and 75% behind the second ball despite three double faults. Tabilo, by contrast, landed only 65.3% of first serves and won 59.6% of them, and his second serve collapsed at 24% — a gap that made the Chilean's holds a constant struggle. For Jodar, it was a statement win at Masters 1000 level.
