Zverev edges Atmane in two tie-breaks in Cincinnati last 32
Alexander Zverev needed two tie-breaks to get past Terence Atmane in the Round of 32 in Cincinnati, closing out a 7-6 7-6 win in which neither man could pull clear. The German's serve was the steadier platform: he landed 67.5% of first serves and won 84.6% of those points, adding five aces against three double faults. Atmane hung in behind a productive second ball, winning 70.6% of those points, but found only 54.7% of his first serves, leaving him under repeated pressure in the tight moments. For Zverev, it was a hard-earned passage into the next round at a Masters 1000.
