Swiatek recovers from a set down to beat Sakkari in Cincinnati
Iga Swiatek lost the opening set but overwhelmed Maria Sakkari 4-6 6-1 6-1 in the Cincinnati round of 32. The turnaround was built on the Pole's serving platform: she landed 71.8 percent of her first deliveries and won 73.2 percent of those points, against 62.7 percent and 59.5 percent for Sakkari. The Greek's five aces to Swiatek's two counted for little once her first serve stopped finding the court, and even six double faults did not derail the winner. It was a routine passage into the next round for Swiatek after a shaky first half-hour.
