Swiatek Routs Arango 6-3 6-0 in Cincinnati Round of 64
Iga Swiatek needed little more than an hour's worth of control to sweep past Emiliana Arango 6-3 6-0 in the Cincinnati round of 64, tightening her grip until the second set became a shutout. The serve told the story: Swiatek landed 71.7 percent of first deliveries and won 73.7 percent of those points, backed by a solid 60 percent behind her second. Arango, by contrast, took just 40.7 percent of her first-serve points and 30.8 percent of her second, with no aces and three double faults to Swiatek's three. It was an efficient, low-risk start to the Pole's campaign.
